The Restoration Project (TRP) is the brainchild of award-winning social impact entrepreneur and birth advocate, Kimberly Seals Allers, who is also founder of the Irth app and executive director of Narrative Nation, a media and technology nonprofit based in New York City.

A partnership between the Human Milk Banking Association of North America (HMBANA) and Kimberly Seals Allers, this initiative builds a nationwide network to collect and distribute donor milk to medically and economically vulnerable populations. 

The Human Milk Banking Association of North America (HMBANA) is a nonprofit organization that sets safety and quality standards for nonprofit milk banks in the United States and Canada. HMBANA’s mission is to improve infant health and survival by ensuring access to safe, pasteurized donor milk. Its member milk banks facilitate the donation of breast milk from healthy lactating individuals to nourish the most vulnerable infants.

Human milk is critical for infant health. TRP ensures that infants impacted by childbirth-related maternal loss receive compassionate care and immediate access to human milk, the best first food for an infant’s health and development.
